WHY DID RANDYKITTY BREAK WIKIPEDIA RULES FOR WIM CRUSIO?
QUESTION: In 2015, RandyKitty engaged in edit warring to force Wim Crusio to appear as a "notable person" from Pompignac, France. Why did he do this? Is it grounds for discipline?
Pompignac, France is a very small town. One look on Google Maps shows that this town has a very small population1. Pompignac, France also happens to be where Wim Crusio is from2. As it turns out, through multiple edits and revisions, RandyKitty has forced "Wim Crusio" to appear as a "notable person" and local celebrity on the Wikipedia page for Pompignac3.
Why does RandyKitty care so much about Wim Crusio? RandyKitty went out of his way to fight with multiple different Wikipedia users to force "Wim Crusio" to appear as a "notable person". If RandyKitty is Wim Crusio, this action would be a clear and direct violation of important
Wikipedia rules, not only in regards to edit warring, but also in regards to self-promotion.
Even more troubling is the fact that RandyKitty used his administrator privileges to force his edit to remain.
Despite the fact three different users objected to his edit, RandyKitty's status as an administrator allowed him to circumvent edit warring rules. Indeed, if it were true that RandyKitty is Wim Crusio, his inherent conflict of interest and his repeated edit-warring would be grounds for discipline. If any other average user had engaged in this type of behavior, they may likely have been blocked from editing immediately without question. The Wikipedia community is invited to independently review this incident and come to their own conclusions.

In January of 2013, RandyKitty tried to designate "Wim Crusio" as a celebrity from the small town of Pompignac, France.
His contribution was met with stark criticism, with an IP user undoing the edit and saying, "you have got to be kidding me".
RandyKitty quickly undid the revision in an attempt to keep Wim Crusio listed as a "notable person" from Pompignac, France.
After multiple back-and-forth revisions, RandyKitty used his administrator privileges to force the edit to remain.
Wim Crusio is now listed as a "notable person" from Pompignac, France.
Edit warring is reason enough to face discipline on Wikipedia. If RandyKitty is Wim Crusio, this action would be a direct violation of Wikipedia rules. Should the Wikipedia community issue any discipline against RandyKitty for this behavior?
